Lake Millstätter See

Carinthia offers a fabulous 1,270 standing bodies of water. "But probably the most beautiful, most graceful, proudest woman is the lake itself," wrote the Carinthian poet Egyd Gstättner, referring to the imposing Lake Millstatt, which stretches out in front of the charming MOERISCH estate.
Our exclusive MOERISCH beach is a wonderful place to celebrate time out! A place that leaves nothing to be desired. The adjoining lido offers perfect play opportunities for children, stand-up paddling, water skiing and sailing for the older ones - what more could you want! While parents relax on the daybeds and dream out over the lake.
The southern shore of Lake Millstatt is dog-friendly, with a few bathing areas for dog owners. These are within walking distance.

Hiking and cycling

The Upper Carinthian mountains are a true hiking Eldorado for active people. Whether it's fantastic hikes or bike tours - you'll always be rewarded with a stop at a rustic mountain hut. The Nockberge mountains are a must-see, captivating visitors with their unique shape, flora and fauna!
MOERISCH tip: The ridge to the north of Lake Millstätter See is home to the largest garnet deposit in the Alps. For hikers, the path of love to the Garnet Gate is a popular destination and photo motif.

If you like pedaling, the modern cycle path network offers many wonderful tours and fantastic views!

When the green is fragrant, the golf course is right in front of your nose. If you look towards Goldeck, you can enjoy the lush meadows of the GC Millstätter See as soon as you get up! Because tee 6 is right in front of the MOERISCH's spacious gardens. So get straight into the fun! Ideally with one of the hotel's own golf carts.

    Skiing

    Ski comfortably or dynamically down Carinthia's most generous slopes and less than 20 minutes away from the snow-sure Goldeck. A winter dream come true! The ideal combination when it comes to a dignified skiing vacation - nothing to do, everything to do.
    Strengthened with a healthy breakfast before the sport, the Goldeck gondola takes you up the snow-covered mountain. At the end of the day, your body will look forward to relaxing with a massage in the in-house MOERISCH-SPA.
    For the more experienced, there are also the ski areas of Bad Kleinkirchheim, Innerkrems, Gerlitzen, Turrach, the Mölltal Glacier, the Ankogel or the Katschberg within a 30-minute drive.
